Pachwad Waterfall, Yeoor Hills, Thane West

Pachwad is a small village in Kasarvadavali. There is a waterfall situated near Pachwad village. Waterfall is small but has lot of water during rains. It also has a plunge pool formed at the foot of waterfall.

From Kasarvadavali junction take turn  inside to the TMC garden and follow that straight road till Pachwad village. A gate will be present in order to enter. Dont know why that gate is there. We must be entering some one’s private land I guess. Keep going straight until you encounter a wide stream. There is a bridge over it for bikes but cars have to cross that stream. Keep heading straight until you encounter another stream. You can either park here or can move little ahead crossing that stream. Below is the photo of second stream.

Waterfall is crowded with people during sunday. Many people come here to drink and eat. But after leaving no one cares to pick up the waste such as bags, bottles, plastic. They leave it behind which pollutes the place. So PLEASE DO ENJOY, BUT PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY WASTE BEHIND. Also such beautiful places are encroached by the builders. How come they get permission to build deep inside the national park area. So many buildings have taken up the national park land. Haware city being the closest there. The national park will soon die if such things are continued and people cannot enjoy this beautiful nature.
